The Woman Behind It All.

Kimberlie Massnick, PhD

Dr. Kimberlie Massnick’s fascination with criminal justice started during a college psychology lecture on serial killers. That single lesson turned into an extensive career as a criminologist who specializes in sexual offenders and serial killers.

As an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice at Indian River State College, Dr. Massnick believes that learning needs to get out of the classroom and into real life situations. Her teaching styles include staged crimes scenes instead of traditional exams, assisting in law enforcement searches, and participating in community opportunities involving the homeless, addicted and juveniles in need. To be a great educator, she believes one must never stop learning.

To support her “one must never stop learning” mentality, Dr. Massnick is also a Public Defense Investigator in Florida’s 19th Judicial Circuit, active in many community service organizations, student and faculty mentor, researcher, and adventurer of all things unusual.
